Our 7 Core Values

1.  First and foremost, we are a church where Jesus Christ is LORD.  He is Alpha and Omega, beginning and end, our Bridegroom, King and Judge.  Everything we have need of is found in Jesus.  (Philippians 2:11; Revelation 1:8)

2.  Prayer is foundational at Missions Church Orlando. Jeremiah 33:3 says "Call to Me and I will answer you and show you great and mighty things which you do not know." Who better to call upon and ask how to build the church then the Head of the Church - Jesus Christ. He said "His house would be a house of prayer for all nations" (Mark 11:17). He was quoting Isaiah who said "Even them I will bring to My holy mountain and make them joyful in My house of prayer." (Isaiah 56:7 ) Prayer is the track we run on. The wider and deeper we go in prayer, the greater the building we'll be able to build.  Prayer was central to building the 1st century church and it is how the 21st century church will continue to be built.  (Acts 6:4)

3.  We're committed to digging deep into and searching out the Word of God. It is the truth upon which we build our lives. Hearing, receiving, loving and obeying the Word of God. Hebrews 4:12 says "For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. Psalm 119:130 says "The entrance of Your words gives light; it gives understanding to the simple."

4.  We are a Holy Spirit friendly church. We trust His leadership in our lives. Jesus told His followers, "And I will pray the Father and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever - the Spirit of Truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it nether sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you...but the Helper, the Holy Spirit whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you." (John 14:16-17, 26). The Spirit of God hovered over the face of the deep in creation and He is still hovering over us today. He leads us and guides us into all truth. (John 16:13)

5.  Missions Church Orlando takes the Great Commission very seriously. We're going after and winning the lost because people last forever; we're eternal beings. 1 Timothy 1:4 says that God desires that all men be saved and come to the knowledge of the truth. ALL - everyone. Jesus told His first disciples, "...All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go, therefore, and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age. Amen. " (Matthew 28:18-20). Every person matters to us because they matter to God. There are no hopeless cases. "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world but that the world through Him might be saved." (John 3:16-17)

6.  We believe the local church is central in the plan and purpose of God. Hebrews 10:24-25 tells us: "And let us consider one another in order to stir up love and good works, not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another, and so much more as you see the Day approaching." We know that in the latter days many will fall away from the faith; they will grow cold to the things of God and be easily offended. One way to avoid this and to keep the fires of our hearts burning hot is by gathering often and continuing to fellowship with like-minded believers. It is through the local church that we are exposed to the gifts that Jesus Himself gave us - "apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors and teachers, for the equipping of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ, till we all come to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a perfect man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ; that we should no longer be children, tossed to and fro and carried about with every wind of doctrine by the trickery of men, in the cunning craftiness of deceitful plotting, but, speaking the truth in love, may grow up in all things into Him who is the head - Christ ..." (Ephesians 4:11-15) .

7.  We're Missions Church Orlando and missions is part of who we are. Jesus said "Go into all the world (go from one side of this great earth to the other) and preach the gospel - the news that is too good to be true - to every creature. He who believes and is baptized will be saved, but he who does not believe will be condemned.” (Mark 16:15-16) Henry Martyn, a missionary to India and Persia, said "The spirit of Christ is the spirit of missions. The nearer we get to Him, the more intensely missionary we become." Missions is part of our DNA.

Missions Church Orlando meets at 6031 Shenandoah Way, Orlando, FL 32807. Just like the early church, we meet in a house.  It is a very intimate, non-threatening environment. We probably have the most comfortable chairs of any church you'll ever visit!  Our worship is vibrant and the Lord graces us with His presence every week!
